1. Choose Your Shaving Gel/Foam

Whatever your facial hair style, you should always prepare your skin with a shaving gel or foam before shaving. Lathering up with shaving gel helps you to lubricate your face ready for the razor for a smoother, more comfortable shave.

Choose from our Fusion5 Ultra Sensitive Shaving Gel for comfort before, during and after your shave or our ProGlide Sensitive 2 in 1 Active Sport Shaving Gel, which is designed to help protect against nicks, redness and tightness.

If you have sensitive skin, we recommend our SkinGuard Sensitive Shaving Gel, which is clinically proven for sensitive skin, with a touch of aloe and no dyes or alcohol.

2. Find the Right Razor for You

If you’re designing your own shaving routine via our Customise Your Shave feature, there are three favourite razors to choose from:

Fusion5

The Gillette Fusion5 Razor features five anti-friction blades to deliver a close, long-lasting shave, and there’s a precision trimmer on the back of the cartridge to help you to shave hard-to-reach areas, such as underneath your nose. The precision trimmer is also handy for styling facial hair.

ProGlide

The Gillette ProGlide Razor has additional features to the Fusion5 model, including an enhanced Lubrastrip and FlexBall technology in the handle, which can respond to the contours of your face, allowing you to shave every area thoroughly and comfortably.

SkinGuard Sensitive

Clinically proven for sensitive skin, the Gillette SkinGuard Sensitive Razor features lubrication before and after each blade to help shield the skin during shaving.

The SkinGuard Sensitive has two blades that have been spaced at an optimal distance to help minimise tug and pull and associated irritation during and after shaving.

3. Apply an Aftershave Product

When you’ve finished shaving, you should always apply an aftershave product as part of your post-shave routine.

4. Store Your Razor Safely

When you’ve finished using your razor, make sure you’re allowing it to dry properly and are storing it in a safe place.
