Smells like an old man
2It's OK, I guess, as a conditioning balm. Kind of, anyway. Nothing special though, really. I've binned it though, because of - and ENTIRELY because of - the smell. "...a modern masculine scent...", says the description. Nonsense. This smells like old-school shaving soap has smelled for decades. It smells like my grandad's bathroom did after he'd shaved (I promise you that's 100% true), and he died in 1983. It makes me smell like an old man, and not in a classic way. In an old way. An embarrassing, what-on-earth-is-that, need-a-wash-before-I-get-on-the-train way. If you want to soften your beard, there are plenty of ways to do that which DON'T make you smell like a a long-dead old man. Maybe you'll like it. OK, fair enough - up to you. But "modern"? Do me a favour.

Gives dandruff
1When you leave this product in your beard ends up looking like you have dandruff. I shampoo, condition and brush my beard correctly everyday but the days I leave this in my beard looks like I have beard dandruff. Was very embarrassing on my first day out to the pubs after lockdown!
Really good
5Just a small dab on the end of you fingers and its perfect. Takes the dryness out of my beard. Combined with the beard oil this is awesome. Only negative is it doesn't last as long compared to the beard oil and beard wash. Would recommend 2 tins for every 1 beard oil/ wash
Not over impressed
2I love the smell and weight of the balm but when it dries on your beard, it goes dry and flaky and you end up wearing most of it on your top. Looks like your beard has dandruff
