Quality degraded?
2I've been using Mach 3 for years and was very satisfied. But the new batches seems to be worse quality - the shave is no longer that close or clean. The lubristrip seems to be dripping lube on the first shave. I would have thought it could be a fake if I had not bought it from Tesco superstore.
Unsatisfactory quality of shave
1I have recently used. Mach3 blades as I can no longer find Mach 2 blades Gillette claims the blades give up to 12 comfortable shaves. I find I rarely get 1 comfortable shave - I suppose this is up to 12 !! I have been shaving since I was 17 years old but am finding the quality of blades gradually getting worse. Certainly over the last few years the quality/comfort of shave has deteriorated dramatically, and certainly cannot get anywhere near the claim that Gillette make.

5I have found this razor better than women's razors. The smooth glide and close cut is excellent. Never going back to a women's razor again!!!

Mildly disappointed
3So I was fed up paying supermarket prices for razors and blades, sometimes to find there were no stocks of the blades for my particular razor, so I thought I would try Gilette direct, and went for the Mach 3 with 11 blades, which would last me for months. I have to say I was a little disappointed with the product when it arrived. All nicely boxed and what not, but the razor feels cheaply made and the plastic blade 'ejector' button is flimsy, stiff and sometimes does not work at all. The shave was good it has to be said, but I was hoping for a good, solid quality razor that would last me a long time and I did not find the Mach 3 what I was hoping for. I will use it and the blades until they are all used up but may look elsewhere next time.
