Sensor XL
1Been looking for ages for Sensor XL replacement blades. Obviously no longer produced. These for me were best on the market and perfectly matched for the weight of the handle and a very close shave. Other products don't come close. Bad decision to remove this product Gillette, sack the board.

disappointed
5I am very disappointed to find that the sensor excel brand is no longer available without paying extortionate prices for the blades! I have been using sensor excel for more years than I care to remember and find that there is no other blade that comes close to it's performance, and yes, I have tried other gillette products as well as other makes such as wilkinson sword and my mum's happy shopper types. If it is true that gillette have retired the sensor excel then it is a big thumbs down to the gillette bigwigs! I have been told that lidl do their own brand that performs very well so I shall give it a whirl and let you know. By the way, the 5 star rating is for the sensor excel product and not for gillette as such.

Excel Blades
5They are far better than any other blades on the market. The arm of my razor is slightly heavier than you can buy currently (unless you get a cut throat) which helps with the very smooth shave that you get with these blades. Genuinely better than any other that I have tried from Gillette or competitors. However they are becoming harder to find. Are they being phased out?
Sensor Excel Blades
5I have been using Gillette Sensor Excel blades for around 30 years now and still cant find a blade to match it for a comfortable, smooth, non grippy of the stubble shave. The Sensor Excel blades just glide over my face with no tugging of the stubble at all. I have tried all the other triple blades available but just end up going back to the double Sensor Excel blades due to the triple ones gripping and tugging my stubble. Please Gillette, make us guys the old metal handle again for theses fantastic old blades. Still have mine, it has to be 20 years old though.
Top Quality
5I have used the Sensor Excel for as long as I can remember and I would not use anything else as it gives an incredibly close shave. I have tried other Gillette razors but I find even the multi blade systems do not shave as close as the Sensor Excel. Also buying from Gillette direct I know that I am getting the genuine product at a good price.
