NICE RAZOR FOR A MILD SHAVE. WELL BALANCED AND GOOD QUALITY. I BOUGHT A SPARE TO GIVE AS A GIFT TO SOMEONE.

Love this old fashioned razor, clean shave  with a heavy handle for close management of shave. 👍

Terrific razor. Great weight, very smooth shave and comfortable. The first time I used it I thought it was not working properly. There was no feeling of the hair being cut or pulled. Very smooth and a close shave with no pressure needed on the blade.. Try it, you will not be disappointed!

I was always warned off of these type of razors because I have sensitive skin so had never really considered them. Seeing Gillette finally release one made me decide to give it a go. I won't lie, the result is absolutely fantastic. Everything about the razor just works brilliantly, both the weight and feel in my opinion is spot on. On my first shave I shaved round my neck and around my Adam's apple and didn't catch myself once. On second go I found that making your skin warmer than I previously had (ie putting hot water direct onto my skin for longer than I had done before) actually made the shave even better. On now researching this further, I simply cannot find another razor at this price point and quality anywhere else. I definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of using an old fashioned razor and have already bought one for my father and brother.

A very well balanced and weighted razor, and when combined with Gillette DE blades, produces a very smooth, close shave with no tugging or pulling on the skin 

Bought to replace my DE razor. Very weighty razor, old fashioned maybe, but it gives me a very good shave. The matching blades are alright but I have, and do,use better. Overall a very good razor package.

Bought this DE handle over a month ago. Was rather aprehensive about it the first time, as I had heard stories about causing cuts/bleeding etc. I was wrong! This is by far the best way to shave. I haven't cut myself one month later and the precision applied to the design (simple, controlled) achieves the best shave possible. And the best thing? The blades are plentiful, cheap and high quality. Give up on your expensive cartrideges and go DE! It really is the only way to go! Can't believe it has taken me this long to discover the DE.

I’m really impressed by this razor - a back-to-basics closed-comb 3 piece design with a head that looks remarkably similar to my Muhle R89 and Edwin Jagger DE89. This razor, by the company that invented the safety razor, has a longer, slightly thinner handle than the Muhle & EJ ones but is well-balanced  with a good weight and shaves beautifully.

I used to think these razors were for old people but they are so much better than the modern cartridge system And this razor is excellent it gives a very smooth and close shave

Good to see Gillette back in the double edge razor game again - The razor is well balanced, with a well designed head ( R89ish??) and good finish for the price point. Hope this will be the start of a range of DE razors from Gillette.
