Apply shaving foam or gel , and activate the lubrastrip with even more moisturisation by allowing it to make contact with water. Shave with even, light strokes, rinsing the blade head as you proceed. Once you have finished shaving, wash the razor in clean water but don't wipe it dry. Mount it in the supplied shower hanger so it can aerate instead. Remember to moisturise after shaving for longer lasting smoothness.

Is the Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Swirl Razor suitable for all skin types?

Yes, just like the other Gillette Venus razor blades you could buy, the three cartridges in this Gillette Venus Swirl starter pack are suited to everyone, regardless of individual skin type. This means you can use them confidently when shaving no matter if you have particularly dry or oily skin. Like all Gillette Venus products, however, we do not recommend shaving areas of skin currently undergoing an outbreak or rash. Nor should you shave broken skin.

What body parts can I use Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Swirl Razor Blades on?

You can shave everywhere from your shoulders down with the blades in this Venus razor set. Anywhere from your underarms to your legs, not to mention your toes and bikini line can be shaved with this starter pack. Gillette Venus razors, except those from our dermaplaning range, should not be used for removing unwanted facial hair, however. Stick to body hair removal.

Can I take my Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Swirl Razor and Razor Blades on a plane?

Yes, you can take the entire pack onto an aeroplane as hand luggage with you if you want. Although some razors are banned from carry-on luggage, this typically isn't the case with Gillette Venus razors supplied in a cartridge format like those in this starter pack. As such, you're free to travel with them as you see fit. Check with your air operator if you have any doubts.

Can this Gillette Venus Swirl Razor be used for both wet and dry shaving?

Even with the improved lubrication with these razor refills (compared with previous versions of Smooth Swirl cartridges), we recommend also applying shaving foam or gel to offer even more glide with each stroke. The starter pack is designed for wet shaving and even has a handy shower hanger so you can store it conveniently in the bathroom for whenever you intend shaving next.

Is the Gillette Venus Swirl Razor handle compatible with other Venus razor blade refills?

Yes, the Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Swirl Razor handle will work with many other five-bladed razors. This means you can switch out your razor heads with ease, using any that you happen to have or prefer for different shaving tasks. Please note that, due to their smaller size, Gillette Venus for Pubic Hair & Skin blades are not compatible with the Gillette Venus Extra Smooth Swirl handle, however.
