First off just to say it's great to see Gillette back in the DE razor game, they did invent it after all. This is a nicely finished bit of kit, weighty, well built and balanced and provides a very nice mild to medium in aggression shave. Which brings me to my second point - please disregard the description of this device as solely for edging. It shaves your whole face just as well as, if not better than, a cartridge razor and is a whole lot kinder to the skin.

I was really keen to try the new King C double edge razor after seeing and hearing positive reviews from the States.  I’m really impressed with the feel of the razor. It’s got a great weight to it and feels very substantial in the hand. It looks great too - even the midnight blue box it comes in says ‘quality.’ The razor and King C blades supplied delivered a very smooth and close shave. Gillette still makes the best blades and it’s great to see they’ve released a new Gillette DE razor. The King C is ideal for shaping or edging if you’re looking for sharp lines thanks to the shape of the razor head.  However, if you want a clean shaven look this delivers a superb result too, The King C would make an ideal Father’s Day gift.
