Mach3 blades, just like any razor blades, should be disposed of responsibly and never discarded carelessly. Like other Gillette razor blades, all shaving razor blades on offer within the Gillette Mach3 range can be recycled. Although recycling men's razor blades isn't something you will find is possible in most localities across the UK, depending on where you live, it is possible to send us your old Mach3 razor blades for reprocessing. Doing so is simple. All you have to do is to sign up for our Terracycle scheme to start recycling your spent Gillette Mach3 refill cartridges. Collect a few Gillette Mach3 razor refills before sending them to us to make it worthwhile. All we need is your address and we'll send you a suitable envelope into which you can place your old Gillette Mach3 blades to post to us. What could be simpler? Bear in mind that other Gillette razor blades are covered under the scheme, not just Mach3 blades, so it is an extremely convenient service to help eliminate waste.

The Mach3 razor blades in each refill are sharp but they will not last forever - no razor blades do, of course. That being said, you can make your Mach3 razors last longer if you take care of them properly. Firstly, use a liberal amount of Gillette shaving foam or gel when you shave to help the blades glide over your skin. Equally, it is a good idea to trim your facial hair if it is more than a couple of millimetres long to make shaving less demanding on the blades. Gillette Mach3 refills should remain sharp enough to last for up to 15 shaves when used correctly. Place them in water to remove shaved hairs as you shave - don't tap them as this can damage the blades. After shaving, wash them and allow men's razor blades to dry out thoroughly before their next use, something that is good advice for all Gillette razor blades, not just Mach3.
