Bought this razor set as a treat for myself. As a bald male and someone who has to shave my head and neckline on the daily, I thought ‘why not?’. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but if it’s something I’m going to be using every day - then why not invest in something that’s going to make the experience more enjoyable, more luxurious? Well, this does it. First the GilletteLabs Razors are superb, they glide over my head and neck and leave incredibly smooth finish. The edging razor on the reverse is also superb for tidying up the trickier areas around my moustache and chin. Next the razor handle - it’s weighty and feels like it’s made from premium materials. The heating bar takes about 2 seconds to ready itself and is an incredibly pleasant experience. Is it the same as going to a Turkish Barbers - no, but is it reminiscent of that sane feeling you get? YES. The shaving gel that came with the product is also great, usually I just buy a budget shaving foam - but I think I’ll continue to treat myself to this in the future. The set came with additional blades, which actually made this a really good deal, and I don’t think I’ll need to buy any more for quite some time.
