i've been shaving now for over 45 years - I started with one of my granddad's old razors where you screwed in a razor blade and then had a go with an electric but it never gave me a clean shave. I, most recently, subscribed to Harry's but found them to be poor quality with the lubricating strip glooping up or even falling off. I got regular nicks and scratches with it so finally gave in after seeing an advert saying that a Gillette blade lasted a month - I was always sceptical about the bloke singing that it was "the best a man can get" but having used a Mach 3 years ago I thought I'd try it again. There was an offer on for the Razer version (had to Google who they were) so I opted for that, being a tight Scotsman. I'm only 2 weeks in but I have to say that the build quality and the shave itself are both top notch. I genuinely felt compelled to write a review to say how pleased I am with my purchase and to testing out the month per blade claim further in the months ahead. Great to be back on Team Gillette after a few years away.

I was a little sceptical after reading mixed reviews, yet I was so impressed with closeness of the shave I was getting without multiple passings on the face. The blades seem to be lasting a while too. Very comfortable and clean shaving experience.

I had doubts about the shave but after using my razor I think the razor is a great shave hope Gillette keep on getting better

Whilst the razer is excellent I had major problems with case. The case was virtually unopenable and had to be forced apart. Poor design of the case and a complete waste of my time in trying to open the case.

Really lovely. Great for taking on holidays. Brilliant case that fits the razor and blades in . Perfect.

It’s an okay razor, but I preferred the ProGlide I had previously. The Labs razor doesn’t have the same weight to the handle, has an annoying rattle in use and just isn’t as nice to hold or use. 

I ordered these as an upgrade and it was next day delivery too, so order gem and sure enough, the following day it arrived.  Very well packed and I immediately used it, after trying to break my way in!  Nice blades, feel these would suit sensitive skin? After my face was smooth and soft, I really liked it, I’m unsure of its the blades, but I seem a day shorter using these, I have to use a day earlier than I usually do? Anyway very happy with my purchase and would recommend 

Almost impossible to open case. So difficult to prise apart rendering it useless.  Must be heaviest travel case going again I won’t be taking it with me on holiday. 

Whoever designed that case mechanism needs fired, whoever gave the thumbs up for that design also needs fired. After almost breaking my nails trying to separate the case, I had to use a flat head screwdriver. It’s an absolutely shocking design that’s need to be brought back to the drawing board, not user-friendly at all. 1 star.
