That being said, you can make your Mach3 razors last longer if you take care of them properly. Firstly, use a liberal amount of Gillette shaving foam or gel when you shave to help the blades glide over your skin. Equally, it is a good idea to trim your facial hair if it is more than a couple of millimetres long to make shaving less demanding on the blades. Gillette Mach3 refills should remain sharp enough to last for up to 15 shaves when used correctly. Place them in water to remove shaved hairs as you shave - don't tap them as this can damage the blades. After shaving, wash them and allow men's razor blades to dry out thoroughly before their next use, something that is good advice for all Gillette razor blades, not just Mach3.
