King shave
5I have many vintage Gillette razors, As yet I've still to buy the King C & will be doing so, I tend to use my "superspeed" '1950 W1' Which is incredible, Or my 1920s brownie "3rd style" open comb "with customised solid brass handle & smooth clean finish made to exact specs but 1 solid piece (As early Gillette handle's, On many types of razors can be less complimentary to the blade head)

4Quality built product but handle is too short for the weight of it, so makes it hard work if you've got large hands or suffer with joint pain.

5We used these in the armed forces years ago for the closest shave possible for inspections!! I had a Harry’s razor which was ok but NOTHING like the shave you get from this bad boy !! If you want a clean tight smooth shave look no further.

5Only had this a couple of days but I absolutely love it. Great weight, the handle is smooth but you can grip it well.Glides well with the right preparation of your face. I’ve used the Gillette blades supplied and with one pass I’ve had a great shave so looking forward to going for two. I have a few DE razors to choose from and this baby is right on top of my rotation list......in fact I’d say I’m going to be using it for a very long time. Highly recommend it and the blades too.

4This is a good-quality 3-piece razor, suitable either for a young buck or a grumpy old man. The head nicely plated ZAMAK, evidentially made in Germany (my guess based in the German instructions on the protective paper inside it). It provides a small blade gap for a mild shave. I find it comfortable and effective. The handle is made in China. It seems to be plated brass. It has an attractive style, and it's weight gives the razor a nice balance. It has a textured surface in the upper half only. I'll guess that this was done not only for stylistic reasons, but also as a hint to newbies where to hold it with their thumb and forefingers. Not a bad idea. The grip could be better, but it's adequate. The rounded end, however, may look attractive, but to me it's just annoying. I'm used to steadying my razor with my pinky resting on the end of the handle; the round end deprives me of a rest for it. Overall, this razor is a good value compared to it's competition (e.g., Merkur). It's nice to have a good double-edge safety razor widely available in retail outlets.

5Excellent razor for design,weight,quality of build/engineering and use. A pleasure to shave with this five star razor. It has a heavy handle which allows for non aggressive shaving, just rest the razor against your face, no pressure required and allow a 30 degree angle between skin and blade and guide the razor in direction of stubble growth. Let the razor do the work. There is no doubt that this is a value for money razor and a pleasure to use. The razor blades are quality also, however they are more expensive than most blades. But as razor blades are very much a personal choice you can use any double edged blade you wish to use in this razor. I fully recommend this razor.
