Best shave outside of a barbershop
5This was my first Movember so I wanted to treat myself. The shave was by far the best I have had outside a barbershop. I had a ten-day beard so I expected the experience to be quite a struggle but it wasn't. First, the razor comes in smart packaging similar to the one you get with an iPhone so it really makes a good first impression. It makes it ideal to gift. Second, the machine itself looks and feels like a well-made luxurious device. The charger base looks sleek and modern although it was a bit heavier than I expected. Before shaving, I charged it for about an hour. Once it was ready to use, I turn it on and found out it heated up pretty quickly: in less than 10 seconds. I used regular foam and purposely prepared the sink with cold water to really test the heating capability. Even after submerging the razor in cold water, the temperature came back up quickly. Now the shaving: I could feel the warm feeling even on a longer beard than I would have usually had; it was powerful but without getting too hot. The heat made it less of a struggle to shave against the grain With each go, the razor kept the same temperature, which made it a quick shave. I would only stop to rinse and immediately continue. In conclusion, the razor does perform better than any other I had tried but what I enjoyed the most is the constant warm feeling on my face. There is just something soothing about shaving with heat.
Closets shave ever
3Shave was really really close.... I don’t know if the heat really helped or made a difference but my skin is less irritated than normal and there’s no doubt it’s my closets shaved ever.. so maybe it did make a difference
SUPERB
5Wanted the Heated Razor for a while and finally bit the bullet and purchased full of excitement. After the first use I knew it was worth every penny but more importantly the shave it gives is superb! The heat from the strip gives such a comfortable feeling and the five blades work brilliantly at getting that clean shaven look. Post shave feels tremendously better that that of a razor with no heated element. Would highly recommend!
heating feature disapointed
2I've used Gillete razors for all my life, and my favourite razor is Mach 3. Understanding that the razor market has limited capabilities to expand and offer something new, I was very excited to see razor with heating feature and bought Gillette Labs to try. I have sensitive skin and knowing that Gillette Labs have five blades I was sure that shaving results would not disappoint. At the same time, I was expecting that the heating bar will warm up my skin, and shaving will be less irritating. After using this razor for few times, I feel a little bit disappointed. The product arrived in high-quality packaging, but razor itself looking relatively cheap and very plastic. Given the high price tag, I was expecting a better feel of this product in my hand. It has a good grip, but the "body" is quite chunky and too light. The ergonomic design of Mach 3 is much better. Main feature – heating bar, works in some way, but certainly not the way I was hoping. Since you have to rinse the blades after every glide, you need to ensure that hot water is used. If you pour cold water on the blades, then the heating bar will lose its heat immediately, and you will have to wait 3-5sec before next glide. Overall not very useful feature, certainly very far away from "hot towel effect", but my skin it looks like less irritated than using other razors. Heat bar doesn't make this razor exceptional, and shaving results very much the same as other ordinary razors. The high price tag is unjustified, and I am feeling uncomfortable to spend three times more than I spend now to buy replacement cartridges.
Great quality and great feeling!
5The packaging is really cool and made me feel like I had purchased a very high quality product. The product itself did not disappoint and after a quick charge I was able to use the shaver. The heated warming bar emits the right level of heat (there are two settings to choose from) and provided a great sensation that was comfortable and left me feeling fresh. I am actually looking forward to shaving again!
Amazing Product
5Bought this product as read the reviews and they looked amazing. I was not disappointed. Very clean shave and a lot sharper than an electric shaver. The heated head is fantastic and glides through your skin leaving it feeling very smooth. Don't have one complaint, really happy.
A bit gimmicky, and expensive, but feels premium
3Overall, the device is hefty, well made and with a nice heavy stand. The heating function DOES work, and it gives a good shave. The heating itself was noticeable and welcome in the cold mornings! However, it is quite expensive and you will find it hard to justify it by the minor benefit of the heating strip unless you have a very cold bathroom...
Awesome heated razor
5The design is really cool and lights up based on the temperature of the razor, which made its already smart design even more eye catching. The heating itself was an additional benefit to a smooth shave that made it soothing to the skin and more enjoyable than a regular razor,
Impressive
5I treated myself to this razor and I am very impressed, the 5 blades make for a very smooth shave whilst the handle is bulky but not intrusive. The heated feature is not felt on the neck but on the face it is warm. The razor has two heat settings but I am happy with the hottest one.
Highly recommended..
5Having sensitive skin puts me off shaving, I came across this razor and thought it was worth a try and I was very impressed! The heat bar certainly seemed to keep the hair soft and opened the pores. First time I've shaved and been pleased with the result and not been embrasssed to go out in public due to a red rash. A lovely close shave from a quality product...would highly recommend.
